Three suspects charged in connection to a carjacking that led to a police pursuit and shooting of a Hopkinsville Police officer in February appeared in Christian Circuit Court Wednesday morning.
Anthony Johnson, Autumn Neblett, and September Neblett and their attorneys appeared for a pretrial conference before Judge John Atkins. The three suspects are charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000. Johnson is also facing a charge of fleeing or evading police as well as federal charges in connection to the carjacking. Autumn and September are facing an additional charge of first-degree complicity to robbery with Autumn also charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
Commonwealth’s Attorney Rick Boling says this case is complicated because Johnson is facing federal charges and they need time to get the discovery in the case more manageable.

Judge Atkins scheduled another hearing for July 17th.
The charges against the three suspects stem from February 18, 2019, when they, along with Keith Kuzyk, were allegedly involved in an armed carjacking at Walmart on Clinic Drive, which led to a police pursuit. During the pursuit on North Drive, police reported Kuzyk fired multiple shots at Officer Jeremy Davidson, hitting him in the arm and grazing his head. Police arrested Autumn Neblett shortly thereafter when she was found with an assault rifle in the dugout on the campus of University Heights Academy. Kuzyk, Johnson and September Neblett were able to flee to Montgomery County where they were arrested later that night. Officer Davidson was taken to a Nashville hospital for treatment and was released the next day.
In April, a federal grand jury indicted Kuzyk and Johnson on charges related to the carjacking.
Johnson, along with Autumn and September, remain lodged in the Christian County Jail while Kuzyk is still being held in a Montgomery County Jail.
