Motorists traveling US Highway 62/Dawson Road in Caldwell County need to be aware of a lane restriction scheduled to begin Monday.
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Spokesman Keith Todd says a contractor plans a work zone lane restriction, near the intersection of Vivian Drive in Princeton. He adds the lane restriction will be in place to allow the construction of a new water line along and across the roadway.
Todd notes that motorists should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. The roadway will reopen at night with metal plates allowing traffic to cross the excavated area.
He states the work zone is expected to be active through about Friday.
Motorists are being advised to use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
