The Christian County Weather Spotters are mourning the loss of a member of their family following a single-vehicle wreck Monday morning in Todd County.
Christian County Spotter Coordinator David Powell tells the News Edge Mike Wright of Clifty had been a part of their group for nearly three years.

Powell and his team will host a memorial service and take up a donation for his family during their meeting Tuesday evening.

The wreck occurred Monday morning on Greenville Road when Todd County Emergency Management Director Daniel Smith said Wright’s vehicle ran off the road just north of Elkton and hit a tree, which caused the car to catch fire. Wright was pronounced dead at the scene by the Todd County Coroner.
Donations are being accepted for Wright’s wife and 8-year old daughter at Under The Sun at 211 North Main Street in Elkton.
