A Christian County youth baseball team went undefeated over the weekend to bring home a state title.
Travis Martin tells the News Edge the Christian County Cubs 10U baseball team went 6-0 and brought home the USSSA State Championship. The championship game took place in Elizabethtown. The team won three games Sunday, with the final game score being 13-4 as they played the number one power ranked team in the state.
The team, coached by Steven Kellum and Brian Fort, arrived back in Hopkinsville around 10:00 Sunday night and were welcomed by an escort courtesy of the Christian County Sheriff’s Office and the Hopkinsville Police Department.
