Challenge House AT&T Program Graduates Fifteen Students

The Challenge House’s 9th annual Attitude, Training, and Teamwork program concluded Friday night with graduation of fifteen students.

The AT&T Program, aptly named to provide a reference to the grant received from AT&T Wireless to assist in funding the program, aims to provide inner-city kids with the opportunity to learn real-world skills for creating a career.

Challenge House board member Wally Bryan spoke with the News Edge to share insight into the program, saying it strives to teach the importance of faith.

The News Edge also spoke with a graduate of the program, 16-year old Eric Grubbs, who job-shadowed with Your Sports Edge’s Scott Brown. Grubbs offered his perspective on how the program benefits his community.

He also says his biggest takeaway from the program is to always strive for the best. The next round of the program will be July 8 to 11th and is designed primarily for those who live in or around one of the seven Challenge Houses.
