A woman was sent to the hospital after hitting an animal on North Montgomery Road Sunday night.
Trigg County Sheriff’s Deputy Jared Werner told the News Edge 40-year-old Renita Avery struck an animal with her vehicle near the intersection of Cadiz Mill Road.
Avery was taken by ambulance to Trigg County Hospital for shoulder, torso and hip injuries.
The animal has not been located.
