A dog was killed in a house fire on Maple Court in Hopkinsville Wednesday night.
Hopkinsville Fire Department Deputy Chief Steve Futrell told the News Edge at the scene a man in the home was able to get out safely but a dog was killed in the fire.
The home located at 828 Maple Court was also damaged in a fire on May 9th when an electrical box caused a fire in the attic.
The American Red Cross was contacted to assist the family.
