Motorists traveling in Hopkinsville need to be aware contractors for the Public Works Department will begin milling and paving some city streets Thursday.
Public Works Street Superintendent Dave Herndon says the streets affected include Sanderson Drive from Lee Lane to North Drive, Airport Road from Russellville Road to the end, Southgate Drive from Lafayette Road to the end, the southern portion of Ivy Lynn Court from North Shallow Lake to the end, and a small portion of Daven Drive. He notes operations will run weather permitting, and until complete.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution and be alert for construction equipment. Also, if you are a resident or business owner in the area and use on-street parking, officials are asking you to move your car to accommodate equipment.
