Family & Consumer Sciences Division-General Rules for all Contests
Exhibits under supervision of Extension Homemakers and are open to anyone living in Trigg County or any member of the Trigg County Extension Homemakers Association.
All contest entries will be made on Thursday, October 10th, between 9:00 a.m. and noon at the Cadiz Baptist Church Annex Building. Call the Extension Office (270-522-3269) for additional details.
All work must be done by the exhibitor in the past year and one entry per class and must not have been a winner in 2018.
Neither the Festival Fair Board or the Extension Service, nor the facility owners will be responsible for loss or damages.
All food entries must be on paper plates and inserted in a zip-lock style plastic bag. Include recipe of your entry. Only one entry per category. Judging will begin at 1:00 p.m. At the end of exhibition all food entries will be discarded. All exhibits will be on display at the Cadiz Baptist Church Annex on Friday & Saturday, 9:00-5:00 p.m. All classes are judged as follows: 1st place—blue ribbon, $3.00; 2nd place—red ribbon, $2.00; 3rd place—white ribbon, $1.00. All exhibits and award money must be picked up at the Cadiz Baptist Church Annex on Monday, October 14, 2019 from 8:00-10:00 AM. Failure to pick up items at that time will result in forfeiture of award money.
Judges decisions are final. Overall winners will be awarded in the Bake Off, Canning and Arts & Crafts contests in the amount of 1st – $40, 2nd – $30 and 3rd – $15.00,
Prize money support provided by the State Department of Agriculture (50%) and the Trigg
County Ham Festival, Inc. (50%).
BAKE-OFF CONTEST
Please include recipe with each category entry. Items entered without will be eligible for ribbon, but not for award money.
Points will be given in order to determine overall winner. Winners will be awarded as follows: 1st – $3.00 (3 points); 2 – $2.00 (2 points); and 3rd – $1.00 (1 point). Overall awards will be 1st place- $40.00; 2nd place- $30.00; and 3rd place- $15.0,

PORK RECIPE CONTEST
Winners will be posted at the Homemaker Display. Points will be given in order to determine overall winner. Awards will be 1st place–$20.00 (3 point); 2nd place–$15.00 (2 points); and 3rd place–$5.00 (1 point). A copy of the recipe used is required. Items entered without recipe will be eligible for ribbon, but not for award money.
Overall Awards for Pork Recipe Contest will be 1st place–$15.00; 2nd place–$10.00; and 3rd place–$5.00
