Day 2 of the Trigg County Country Ham Festival got off to a great start Saturday morning with much-improved weather conditions. Hundreds of people are in downtown Cadiz to enjoy all the festival has to offer — musical entertainment, food, numerous vendors, animals, rides, and much more.
The opening ceremony got underway on the Renaissance stage around 10:00 with Trigg County Judge-Executive Hollis Alexander leading the crowd in prayer and Sheriff Jason Barnes singing the National Anthem.

With parking being the biggest problem in downtown, officials are recommending those attending the festival to use the shuttle buses. The pick-up and drop off locations are in front of the Trigg County High School Gymnasium and the Cadiz Masonic Lodge.
