Greenville Road Murder Suspect Allowed Copy Of Evidence

A Hopkinsville woman charged in connection to a fatal shooting on Greenville Road in June appeared for a pretrial conference in Christian Circuit Court Wednesday morning.

19-year old Anshanique Leavell is accused in the shooting death of Amareyá Freeman at an apartment complex on June 6. She is charged with murder, receiving stolen property (firearm), and complicity to tampering with physical evidence.

Defense attorney, Michael Thompson filed a motion for Leavell to be allowed to have a copy of the discovery in order to defend her case. Commonwealth’s Attorney Rick Boling says he would give her a copy but he doesn’t want the information getting out to family members or the public and endangering the witnesses.
