A Hopkinsville woman accused in a fatal shooting on Greenville Road in June appeared in Christian Circuit Court Wednesday morning for a hearing after her defense attorney filed another motion requesting a bond reduction.

Defense attorney, Michael Thompson filed the motion on behalf of his client, 19-year old Anshanique Leavell who is charged in the fatal shooting of Armareya Freeman at an apartment complex on Greenville Road on June 6.

Commonwealth’s Attorney Rick Boling says Judge John Atkins kept the bond at $100,000 and asked Thompson to file a supplement to the motion.

Judge Atkins set a pretrial conference for December 4th.

This was the second time Thompson filed a motion for bond reduction after Judge Atkins denied his request at a hearing in August.

Leavell remains lodged in the Christian County Jail charged with murder, receiving stolen property (firearm), and complicity to tampering with physical evidence.
