A Hopkinsville church-focused charitable organization that offers many programs to those in need in the community is asking for the public’s help to keep someone warm this winter season.
Salvation Army Director of Social Services Alisa Barton tells the News Edge the Thrift Store is in need of coats in all sizes.
She says the coats can be dropped off at the Salvation Army’s office, located at 304 East 7th Street, or the Thrift Store or warehouse located at the corner of 7th and Clay Streets. If you cannot drop off the coats during the day when the office is open, Barton notes the new or lightly worn coats can be placed in drop-boxes.
