The local baker representing Princeton on the national stage has made it to the final round of Food Network’s baking competition show, Holiday Wars.
Cathy Lewis, owner of Cathy’s Confections, says that Sunday night’s episode was a nail bitter because the competition was heating up.
She adds that judges’ comments were pretty tough when it came to the first competition of the night.
Lewis notes that the team received more scrutiny during the longer competition of the night, mainly due to issues with the sculpt of Santa’s face, which was crumbling away during the judging process.
She expresses that despite the stress and the rough judges’ comments, the team let the work speak for itself and were able to move into the finale.
Lewis’ team, the Ginger Snappers, will be facing off against the Bah Hum Bakers for the $25,000 grand prize during the finale on Sunday, December 22nd at 8 PM on Food Network.For more about Food Network’s Holiday Wars, or to watch previous episodes, you can visit foodnetwork.com.
