Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a convenience store in Madisonville Friday night.
Madisonville Police report the robbery occurred around 11:40 p.m. at the Sunoco gas station located at 600 West Noel Avenue.
According to police, two subjects entered the convenience store and demanded money from the employee. One subject brandished a handgun while the other took various tobacco products and cash from the register. The subjects then fled the store prior to officers arriving on the scene.
Police say the employee was not injured during the robbery.
