A Hopkinsville man was charged with robbery after he reportedly assaulted a woman and took her phone Monday night.
Hopkinsville Police say 36-year-old Justin Coleman got into a fight with a woman he has children with, inside a North O’Neal Avenue home and punched her in the face then took her phone.
Coleman was located on East 1st Street and charged with second-degree robbery and tampering with physical evidence.
Coleman reportedly told police he didn’t take the phone and after using the app “Find My Phone” it was located in a large bush on North Jessup Avenue.
