Another candidate and an incumbent have filed to run for seats on Hopkinsville City Council.
Democrat candidate Steve Hoover officially filed his paperwork with the Christian County Clerk’s Office Tuesday afternoon to run for the Ward 11 seat, currently held by Jason Bell.
Ward 9 incumbent Patricia Waddell-Bell also filed her paperwork seeking another term. Bell has served on City Council since 1999 and she currently holds positions on the Housing Authority of Hopkinsville Board of Commissioners and the Hopkinsville Human Relations Commission.
The filing deadline for Hopkinsville City Council is Friday afternoon at 4:00.
