In the interim, he says home-delivered meals will resume Tuesday.

According to Monroe, the biggest damage was to the front part of the building’s roof.

He says their emergency sprinkler system went off when the roof was removed, and coupled with the heavy rainfall there was significate damage to the inside of the building.

Monroe adds clean-up continues. He notes Judge-Executive Steve Tribble and magistrates have been very helpful in providing whatever is needed to get the building cleaned up as quickly as possible.

Monroe says it will probably be two or three months before the Senior Center is able to be used, depending on how quickly they can get repairs completed.

Meanwhile, Judge-Executive Steve Tribble tells the News Edge an adjustor was at the Senior Center and Ruff Park Monday.

Judge Tribble says they will probably sign an emergency declaration pertaining to the Senior Center, which would allow the county to move forward.

He says Ruff Park also sustained significant damage.

The damages to the Senior Center and Ruff Park occurred Saturday morning when a squall line moved through Hopkinsville between 7:30 and 8:00.
