Two Trigg County Residents Charged With Drug Trafficking

Two Cadiz residents are facing drug trafficking charges after an undercover drug operation Friday.

Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force Director David Thompson says agents, along with the Trigg County Sheriff’s Department, conducted a controlled buy-bust operation around 12:30 Friday afternoon in which officers purchased a quantity of methamphetamine. 43-year old William Childs II was taken into custody and charged with trafficking meth over two grams after officers say methamphetamine and a quantity of cash were found in his vehicle.

Officers then went back to a home on Wood Avenue and arrested 28-year old Brittany Harris for her alleged involvement with the drug purchase. She was also charged with trafficking meth over two grams, first-degree possession of cocaine, first-degree possession of opiates, possession of marijuana, and prescription not in a proper container.

Childs and Harris were lodged in the Christian County Jail.
