Governor Andy Beshear is working diligently to present to state House and Senate members a biennial budget later in the month.
Beshear says his priority heading into the budget is lifting up Kentuckians and breaking the poverty cycle.

There are several ways of generating new revenue Governor Beshear would like to see implemented in the state, including gambling.
He adds providing new textbooks to every child in the state costs around $17-million and the additional funding could help with many other issues.
One other issue Governor Beshear would like to fix is tax loopholes.
