Trigg Little Library Program Looking For Donations

The Trigg County Community Early Childhood Council is working to promote literacy by setting up Little Libraries throughout the community and are needing assistance in keeping them stocked.

Councilmember Linda Wood says the Little Libraries have become quite popular.

Chairperson Beth Sumner and Wood add they are looking to collect books and monetary donations through the month of February.

Sumner notes the Little Libraries can be found at Genesis Express, the Trigg County Recreation Complex, Hilltop Market, Hancock’s Neighborhood Market, and the newest location at the Cadiz Laundromat.

The Little Libraries are stocked with books and allow families to visit them for free to share and exchange books.

Donations can be dropped off at any of the Little Library locations, the Central Office of Trigg County Public Schools, Cadiz Baptist Christian Academy, Cadiz Let’s Go Play, Small World Daycare, Cadiz Family Development Center, and the John L. Street Library.

Both add the council has plans for additional Little Libraries to be installed in late Spring.

For more information, call Sumner at (270) 522-6075 or stop by the Trigg County Public Schools Central Office at 202 Main Street in Cadiz.
