The Hopkinsville-Christian County YMCA has been designated as a Limited Duration Center by the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services.
As of Friday, YMCA officials say the temporary child care exemption allows them to offer childcare to children of the employees of healthcare entities, first responders, corrections officers and the Department of Community Based Service workers.
The YMCA will provide care Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. for children 6-weeks to 12-years old. The childcare rate is $30 a day or $150 a week.
According to YMCA officials, specific documentation should be noted on the employer’s letterhead and include:
– Identifying information for the employee
– Employee’s position within the healthcare entity
– Location(s) of place of employment
– Name of children who will be enrolled and dates of birth
– Contact information of Human Resources personnel to verify employment if necessary
