Grand Jury Returns Rape, Strangulation, And Child Abuse Indictments

The Christian County Grand Jury Friday returned several indictments, including for rape, strangulation and child abuse.

Kenneth Wade Toliver of Hopkinsville was indicted for first-degree rape, incapable of consent/physically helpless. The arrest warrant says Toliver had sexual contact with an adult female on February 26 who was incapable of consent due to being physically helpless.

The grand jury returned superseding indictments for Bradford Lynch, Jr. and Sheena Lynch, both of Hopkinsville. Bradford was indicted for two counts of first-degree strangulation, two counts of criminal abuse child 12 or under, complicity tampering with physical evidence and complicity tampering with a witness. His wife, Sheena, was indicted for two counts of first-degree complicity, two counts of criminal abuse child 12 or under, complicity tampering with physical evidence and complicity to tampering with a witness.

As previously reported by the News Edge, police said on Bradford Lynch broke his step-daughter’s phone and then went into his step-son’s room and choked him until his face turned red. He then went to his second step-son and allegedly strangled him. The incident occurred at a residence on Riverfront Drive on August 10, 2019.

Between December 25 and December 30, 2019, the couple was arrested again after police said they contacted a witness in a criminal case via text message and instructed them to alter their testimony and delete messages.

And the grand jury indicted David Tyler Young of Oak Grove for first-degree strangulation, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, and fourth-degree domestic assault after he allegedly grabbed a female victim on February 19th and pinned her to the bed. While the victim was restrained, police Oak Grove police said Young put his hands around the victim’s neck and choked her, impeding her ability to breathe. He then reportedly punched the victim in her ear and back of her head.
