The Christian County Health Department has released there are now 19 confirmed active COVID-19 cases in the county.
Spokeswoman Amanda Sweeney reports nine of the cases are between the ages of 22 and 59. Six cases are from the older adult category (60-85), three from the pediatric category (0-21), and one elderly case (85+).
Sweeney adds there is one inactive case, meaning the individual has completed the 14-day isolation period and recovered.
During his Wednesday afternoon news conference, Governor Andy Beshear confirmed that one of the confirmed cases was with a resident at Western State Hospital in Hopkinsville.
