Trigg County Hospital is being proactive to make sure they are ready in the event a person tests positive for COVID-19 and is needing treatment.
Hospital CEO John Sumner tells the News Edge they have added 25 beds to care for the less severe patients that test positive.
While there have been no confirmed cases, as of Friday, Sumner says if anyone feels they need to be tested they can visit Trigg County Primary Care.
He adds if primary care is closed, the same protocol is used at the hospital.
Sumner adds calling them before coming in is an important step to allow them to prepare for you to come in and get tested. He says the hospital has enough personal protective equipment (PPE) to last about thirty days, he adds like many other entities, they are unsure where more will come from.
