Another new case of COVID-19 has been confirmed in Todd County, bringing the total number of novel coronavirus cases in the county to six.
The Todd County Health Department announced the case involves an adult with underlying health issues, who was tested Friday and the positive result was returned Tuesday morning. Officials with the health department say the adult has mild symptoms and was in quarantine due to being a contact of the third case of coronavirus that was reported in the county. They say the case is currently under investigation and any additional contacts will be notified.
Jen Harris, director at the health department in Todd County, says this contact did exactly what they asked and has remained quarantined. She adds this example shows the importance of completing a 14-day quarantine or isolation period because symptoms can show up at any time during that time.
