Tennessee Governor Bill Lee extended the existing ‘Stay-at-Home’ order Monday that requires citizens to stay home unless they are carrying out essential activities.
According to the executive order, social distancing and the stay at home provisions were extended to Thursday, April 30. The order was set to expire Tuesday at 11:59 PM.
The initial order shut down non-essential businesses across the state and helped to curb the number of people leaving their homes.
During Lee’s Monday afternoon news conference, the state reported there were 5,610 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 109 deaths.
