Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Kentucky Medicaid announced Friday a donation made to two Christian County Public Schools Family Resource and Youth Service Centers.
According to a news release from the school district, the resource centers at Martin Luther King, Jr. and Freedom Elementary both received $500. Both schools were among 100 receiving donations from Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
The funds will help provide essential items for families in need, including; food, hygiene items, rent assistance, utility assistance, supplies, and activities that support learning while children are home from school during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Melanie Barret, Director of Pupil Personnel says they are grateful for the donations from Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Kentucky Medicaid and their contributions to Kentucky’s students and families.
