Area legislators are calling on Governor Andy Beshear to consider starting to reopen the Kentucky economy to help ease suffering on individuals and businesses.

Third District State Senator Whitney Westerfield says constituents in Christian, Todd, and Logan Counties are telling him Governor Andy Beshear needs to consider easing some of the COVID-19 restrictions he has put in place.

First District State Senator Stan Humphries says the protestors in Frankfort are there because they want to work.

Eighth District State Representative Walker Thomas says he is concerned if Beshear delays opening Kentucky back up, our small business could be hurt by people heading to Tennessee for essential services.

Ninth District State Representative Myron Dossett says another concern is healthcare needs of people in the region and state.
