The Princeton Police Department is alerting the public of credit/debit card skimmers that were placed at a local convenience store.
Police Chief Chris King says that on Thursday officers responded to the Circle K convenience store on South Jefferson Street for suspicious items found on a refueling station and found that credit/debit card skimmers had been placed on all of the refueling stations. He states that is unknown how long the skimmers had been on the stations but indicated the investigation is on-going.
Chief King is alerting anyone who may have purchased fuel from that location with credit or debit cards to monitor their accounts for fraudulent activity. He notes that all skimmers have been removed and officers have checked surrounding gas stations and have not found any skimmers at other locations.
Anyone in the public with information pertaining to the skimmers is being asked to contact the Princeton Police Department at 270-365-4657.
