Tie Breaker Family Aquatic Center Not Opening This Year

COVID-19 health concerns will keep Tie Breaker Family Aquatic Center from opening this year.

Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Superintendent Tab Brockman says health concerns were the top factor but adds the anticipated shortened summer season was another key factor in the decision. Brockman adds Tie Breaker attracts nearly 50,000 guests each year and joins in the ever-growing list of municipal and state parks closing pools for 2020.

The Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation team looks forward to the 2021 season and will put together an expanded list of specials and events when the water park reopens for the 15th season.

Full refunds, or transfers to the 2021 season, will be issued to all who have purchased season passes. In addition, those who have won day or season passes through auctions or giveaways can call (270) 887-4290 for exchange details.
