One Visitor Policy For Kentucky Hospitals To Begin Wednesday

As more healthcare services across the Commonwealth continue to reopen, some restrictions, including no visitor restrictions are beginning to be lifted.

Public Health Commissioner Dr. Steven Stack says beginning Wednesday the state will allow one person to stay with anyone who may be hospitalized or having a procedure done unless hospital policy dictates otherwise.

In other comments Saturday, Dr. Stack says he is continuing to work with Perdue Farms in Ohio County

Governor Andy Beshear also announced he has lifted all restrictions placed on churches and houses of worship after two court rulings said the ban was unconstitutional.

One-hundred and fifty-eight new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed Saturday, driving the statewide total to 6,440. Of the new cases, 11 were reported in Logan, and one each in Calloway, Hopkins, Marshall, and Todd counties.

Six new deaths were also reported, with four coming from Graves County. The death toll rose to 304 Saturday.
