The Todd County Health Department announced Thursday evening a probable COVID-19 case in the county.
Jen Harris with the county’s health department says a healthy adult who was in contact with the 15th case is displaying symptoms. She says this is a probable case because the adult was in contact with another confirmed coronavirus case, but has not participated in a lab test since displaying symptoms; however, she adds the individual meets the clinical criteria as an epidemiological linkage for COVID-19.
According to Harris, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the county is 17, including the probable case. Four of the cases are active and thirteen have recovered from the virus.
As of Thursday evening, Harris says 90 people have been tested at the Elkton testing site with one positive test result already reported, and 82 negative results and seven tests are pending. At the Guthrie testing site, she adds 67 tests have been conducted with results to come.
