A day after Christian County saw its highest number of active COVID-19 cases in nearly a month, health officials reported Tuesday one additional case and three recoveries.
Amanda Sweeney with the health department said 20 of Christian County’s 126 cases are active. That is two fewer than Monday’s total of 22 which was the most since May 5. One of the active cases is hospitalized.
Sweeney said nearly 3,600 tests have been administered between the health department and Jennie Stuart Health with 82-percent of those Christian County residents. That total represents four-percent of the county’s population.
The health department will continue to provide testing at Tie Breaker Park Monday through Friday from 9-11 and has partnered with the Aaron McNeil House to provide free testing at the Western Kentucky Fair Grounds
on Saturday from 8-11 at Aaron McNeils monthly food drive.
