Kentucky Congressman James Comer says it is time to reopen the state to help prevent the loss of business to surrounding states.
During a News Edge conversation Congressman Comer, who represents the first congressional district, said he has been frustrated by the slow pace of the state’s reopening.
Congressman Comer said instead of phases, it is time to fully reopen the state.
When asked about Comer’s comments Monday afternoon, Governor Andy Beshear disagreed saying the state is following a plan set forth by the White House.
Comer said he continues to support President Trump’s decision to cut off funding for the World Health Organization because they did not properly warn the world about COVID-19.
