Congressman James Comer announced Thursday a student from Christian County placed second in his annual art competition.
Comer’s office says Macy Gentry, a student at Christian County High School, won second place in the competition with her still life painting titled ‘Life’. Her artwork will hang in Comer’s office in Washington, D.C.
Kaylee Hoskins, a student at Monroe County High School, was selected as the winner of the 1st District’s 2020 Congressional Art Competition. Her portrait ‘Coal Miner’ will hang in the U.S. Capitol and she will receive two roundtrip tickets to Washington D.C. for the national reception at a later date.
