A man led Trigg County deputies on a high-speed pursuit hours after being released from the Christian County Jail Friday night.
Trigg County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. David Tomlinson said he was responding to a call of a reckless driver and found 27-year-old Cody Sarnacki on Glenwood Mill Drive after he reportedly ran off the road.
Tomlinson attempted to stop Sarnacki but he reportedly fled at speeds of 100 mph and ran a vehicle off the road before going westbound in the eastbound lanes of US 68.
During the pursuit, he allegedly almost hit two other vehicles head-on before he pulled over after running out of gas.
He was arrested and charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, driving on a suspended license, possession of marijuana, and two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
Tomlinson said Sarnacki was charged with his third DUI in a traffic stop Friday morning.
