For the fourth day in a row, Christian County’s newly confirmed coronavirus cases have been in the double digits as the number of active cases continues to climb.
The health department reported Saturday an increase of ten COVID-19 cases from Friday when sixteen new cases were confirmed, pushing the total number of active cases to over 100. The health department reported eleven new cases Thursday and nineteen on Wednesday.
As of Saturday afternoon, the total number of active cases rose to 117. Those cases include 76 people between the ages of 22 and 59, twenty under 21 years old, seventeen cases between 60 and 84 years of age, and three elderly.
The report shows Christian County’s overall total number of cases is 323 since the outbreak began in March with 203 recoveries. There have also been four deaths in the county related to the virus.
