A body was found in a wooded area on Old Rocky Point Road in Trigg County Thursday afternoon.
The Trigg County Coroner’s Office says they were called to the area for a report of possible human remains being found and located a body that has not been identified.
The Coroner’s Office says the death appears to be the result of foul play and the badly decomposed body has been sent for an autopsy Friday morning in Madisonville.
The body was located near a cemetery on Old Rocky Point Road. The investigation is being handled by the Trigg County Coroner’s Office and Kentucky State Police.
