Officials with the Christian County Health Department announced nearly 30 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday afternoon.
Spokeswoman Amanda Sweeney says the increase of 29 cases now pushes the total case number to 980. In addition, 243 cases remain active, with 126 of them reported in adults between the ages of 22 and 59. Those 21 and younger comprise of 58 of the active cases, while 59 cases are reported in those 60 or older.
Sweeney adds Christian County has reported 723 recoveries and 14 deaths since mid-March.
