A fast-food company that made waves last year over the debut of their chicken sandwich, will soon bring the beloved food to Hopkinsville.
Mayor Wendell Lynch confirmed to the News Edge Friday afternoon the Popeyes has started construction on a new location. Lynch says they plan to build on an out parcel of Bradford Square Mall on Fort Campbell Boulevard.
Popeyes opened its first location in 1972 in New Orleans, Louisiana. No date has been established on when the restaurant will open.
