Caldwell County has reported nine new coronavirus cases.
Judge-Executive Larry Curling confirmed Monday afternoon the county’s 147th through 155th cases since the pandemic began in mid-March. He added the cases involve a 60-year-old female, 87-year-old male, 15-year-old female, 18-year-old female, 17-year-old female, 55-year-old female, 67-year-old female, 61-year-old male, and a 74-year-old female, seven of which are isolated at home with the remaining two currently hospitalized.
The new cases follow 17 announced last week.
The Pennyrile District Health Department is expected to release updated active case numbers and recoveries for the five county district Friday.
