Two Princeton residents were taken to the hospital after a head-on crash in Caldwell County last week.
Assistant Princeton Police Chief Shane Allison released the information Tuesday morning that the wreck occurred Friday afternoon shortly after 4:00 near the 700 block of Varmintrace Road.
He said an investigation determined 22-year old Baylee Wells of Princeton was traveling east on Varmintrace Road when she topped a hillcrest and her car collided head-on into a vehicle driven by 24-year old Savannah Beckwith of Princeton. Officers said the impact caused Beckwith’s vehicle to hit a utility pole.
Beckwith and her passenger, 23-year old Matthew Beller, of Princeton, were transported by ambulance to Caldwell County Medical Center for what police said were non-life threatening injuries.
According to Assistant Police Chief Allison, officers determined that Wells failed to stay in her lane which caused the wreck.
