A Lewisburg man who was indicted on charges including murder and wanton endangerment in connection to a fatal Logan County crash was arrested Tuesday afternoon.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Department reports 57-year-old Ross Hobbs was arrested on a warrant at his residence shortly before 3:00. The indictment follows an August 16 double-fatal collision that occurred at the 27 mile-marker of Lewisburg Road. The collision claimed the lives of 54-year old Kenny Ferguson and 44-year old Michelle Ferguson, both of Browder. A two-year-old child was transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries.
Hobbs’ vehicle also collided with another vehicle occupied by Rosanna Baatz, of Russellville, and Ronald Grise, of Dunmor. Baatz was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries.
Hobbs faces two counts of murder, three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, three counts of second-degree assault, and one count of operating a motor vehicle on a DUI suspended license (aggravated circumstances).
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office investigated the incident. Hobbs is lodged in the Logan County Detention Center on a $100,000 cash bond.
