Christian County continues to see a record-high number of COVID-19 cases with three of the four age demographics tracked by the health department reaching a new high in active cases Wednesday. Christian County added 66 new cases on the day before Thanksgiving. There are 527 active cases, which is an increase of 21 since Tuesday.
According to the health department, there are 68 people under 21 infected; 279 between 22 and 59; and 161 between the ages of 60 and 84. All three are new single-day highs for Christian County. There are 19 people 85 and older with the virus which is a decrease of two since Monday.
The health department also reported that 2,300 people have recovered from the virus since March, giving Christian County a recovery rate of 80-percent.
