A small group of residents gathered outside Princeton Nursing & Rehabilitation Tuesday afternoon to show their support for the residents and staff who are battling a COVID-19 outbreak at the facility.
A former employee at the facility, Edna Atwood tells the News Edge the prayer group is to let the residents and staff know they are not alone in the fight against the virus.

click to download audioAccording to the state’s COVID-19 data for long-term care facilities, Princeton Nursing & Rehab had 34 active cases, including four staff members as of Tuesday. The facility has had a total of 86 residents who were infected with the virus since the outbreak began nine months ago. Of those 46 have recovered and there have been ten deaths.
In addition, the state data shows 34 staff members at the long-term care facility have tested positive since March. Of those, 30 have recovered and four are active.
Bell says there is another prayer group planned for Saturday afternoon at the facility and everyone is invited.
