State Representative Lynn Bechler, during Monday’s Pennyrile Area Development District annual legislative update, said he is anticipating an eventful session in January, highlighting several influential bills set to hit the floor.
Bechler states the budget will be the most time consuming obstacle to tackle.
He said a top priority will be examining the governor’s executive order powers in light of the string of orders sent throughout the pandemic.
Bechler noted the majority of his constituents have differing views on the gas tax bill, which will be discussed next year.
He hopes to make pension reform a topic of legislation.
He added there will be a string of pro-life bills presented.
Bechler represents District 4 in the Kentucky House of Representatives, encompassing Livingston, Crittenden, Caldwell, and part of Christian counties.
