A Hopkinsville man and woman were arrested after police say they broke into a building in downtown Hopkinsville Thursday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 36-year-old Scott Ethridge and 31-year-old Holly Burns were found inside a building on North Virginia Street. The couple had reportedly plugged in lights and other appliances. The owner had previously contacted police asking for them to arrest anyone on the property due to electricity being used and items being stolen.
Police say Ethridge and Burns had a crowbar and a saw blade along with other tools used to make entry into the premises. Both were charged with third-degree burglary. Ethridge was also charged with possession of burglary tools.
