It appears the number of new coronavirus cases may be declining in Caldwell County with four cases announced Friday afternoon, the fifth consecutive day of single-digit cases.
The Pennyrile District Health Department reported the new cases include three females, ages 2-months, 17, and 36, and one male who is 47-years old. All of the cases are isolated at home.
The health department also released its weekly report Friday which shows 758 cases have been confirmed in Caldwell County since March. Of that number, 51 are currently active with two of those cases in the hospital. There have been seventeen COVID-19 related deaths and 691 recoveries.
