Police are investigating a shooting that injured a Princeton man over the weekend.
Assistant Princeton Police Chief Shane Allison says officers responded to the Caldwell County Medical Center shortly before 2:55 Saturday morning for a man with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He says the victim, 22-year old Joyan Augustine, of Princeton, told officers he was shot by an unknown black male while at a residence in the 200 block of Center Street.
Allison says the identity of the suspect is unknown and the investigation is ongoing.
